What this site stores in your browser, and how to change your choice.
1. The short version
We store very little. Analytics runs only if you accept it. If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics at all. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your information.
2. On swffty.com, everything you can see
Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. These items are on the public pages:
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| swffty-consent | SWFFTY | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics (local storage) | Until you change it or clear your browser data |
| _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID | Google Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages help trades find us. Set only after you accept. | Up to 2 years |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare | A security check on the demo and application forms, to tell people from bots. It runs from challenges.cloudflare.com and is not used for advertising. | Managed by Cloudflare |
3. Analytics and consent
- Google Analytics 4 runs behind Google's Consent Mode. Everything is set to denied until you press Accept.
- If you decline, or have not chosen, no Google script is loaded and nothing is sent to Google.
- When you accept, we ask Google to anonymise IP addresses. We use no advertising features and send no names, numbers, towns or links to Google Analytics.
- Our host, Cloudflare, can also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
4. Pages you reach by signing in or applying
These are used only to keep you signed in or to keep your place, and they do not track you:
| Name | Where | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-swffty_rep | reps.swffty.com | Keeps a rep signed in to the rep portal. A cookie that is secure, HTTP-only and not sent to other sites. | 7 days |
| __Host-swffty_session | Staff sign-in | Keeps our team signed in to the admin. Same kind of cookie. Visitors never get it. | 7 days |
| swffty-apply | Rep application page | Keeps your place in an application if you refresh the page. Held in session storage. | Until you close the tab or send the application |
| swffty-theme | Staff screens | Remembers light or dark mode for our team. Held in local storage. | Until cleared |
5. Changing your choice
Press Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to accept or decline again. Declining stops Google Analytics from loading. To remove what is already stored, clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your information, and our complaints page explains how to raise a concern.
